The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.  The courses in this program teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.  The program offers a choice of first aid, CPR and AED courses to meet the needs of various training needs of diverse audiences.

No previous training is required, and certification is good for 2-years.

If you only need to take the ServSafe exam because you have already completed the necessary training, you may register to have your test proctored at our center.

Learn the basics for painting backgrounds on slate, then add anything extra to make it your own.  Moon will walk you through how to create trees, buildings or anything else you may want to add to it.  Bring your friends and a snack and enjoy an evening of being creative!

Bring the kids to Adult Ed on June 10th between 3 and 6 pm.  It will only take about half an hour for them to make a gift any father would love. 

Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time?  In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it.  This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away.  Since this class is being held online with ZOOM, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all.   And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own.  An optional periodic online question and answer session is also included.   A recording of the class is included as well.  Class limited to 15 students.  For ages 13+.

•       How to tune your guitar
•       Basic strumming patterns
•       How to buy a good guitar (things to avoid)
•       How to play along with simple tunes

In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do-using chords. The chord method is LOTS of fun and dramatically easier to learn than reading notes. Fee includes the online book, online follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture demonstration. Ages 13+

Join us for an exciting and engaging Beginners Photography Class at SAD 1, held every Tuesday night from 6 PM to 8 PM! This class is designed for those who want to explore the art of photography, whether you're a complete novice or looking to sharpen your skills.

In addition, you will explore websites for finding and reviewing corporate, foundation, and government grant funding opportunities and grant application guidelines.

You will go through every aspect of strategic funding research, preparing a fundraising plan, writing an award-winning plan of operation, and creating a project budget without red flags. Then you will journey into the world of grants available for your projects. The excitement will build when you discover just how many funding opportunities are available.

You will see grants for arts and humanities, education, medical, science and agriculture, human services, and corporate foundation grants. You will also explore new grant-writing trends and what to do when you're notified of a grant award or a grant rejection.
