This is where your future begins!  Whether you are looking to complete your high school education (diploma or HiSET), wanting to brush off skills for college, or heading toward a career, this is the first step.  During this one-on-one meeting, we will discuss your academic history and current standing, any barriers to progress, and goals; short & long term. We will also give a clear picture of how our program works and what you can expect from us.   

We accept new students throughout the school year! Submit this request for information and we will be in touch!

Take this time to utilize our space.  You can layout your sewing projects and even have extra eyes to help you look it over.  Sewing machines, tools, and tables are available to use for any creation! This is an open lab type format. No instructors and you can work independently for the time that you are there.. Sally Hayden is the facilitator --- she will sign you in and collect your drop-in fee.  No commitment to every week, come when you want and as long as you want.

Drop In anytime for $3/day, pay at the door.

This class is located in our kitchen at the Alternative Ed building across the road from Skyway Middle School.

Adult Basic Education Classes

We offer both Math and English courses for adult learners who need training to prepare them for daily life functions and basic job skills. Anyone who is seventeen years old and is no longer enrolled in traditional high school may register. These classes meet at regularly scheduled times each week.

Students join this class at anytime during the academic year!

Do you love to crochet or knit but don't want to do it alone?  Do you need help with a project?  Or do you want to learn how to make something for yourself?  Let us help you!!!

We are offering a crochet and knitting lab.  This is for anyone who loves to crochet or knit and wants to learn.  Our instructor is amazing!  Let us know what you want to learn to make and we will find a pattern and she can teach you.  If you just want to drop in for 1 night and get help on a project, it will only cost you a $3 drop in fee.  Or do you want to hang out all 12 weeks and chat while working on projects, no problem!

 

Cricut for Beginner's Package

This series of classes will show you the basics, how to use your cricut and how to get started making simple projects. We will begin with a short tutorial of how to use Cricut Design Space.  

You will want to bring your Cricut, phone or laptop (that has Design Space on it), cutting mat and any tools that you may have.  If you do not have tools, we will have some that you can use for the class.

This is a 5 class series.  

Sept 18th -  Intro to Cricut, register your cricut, access Design Space, knowledge of tools, terminology, weeding and making a cup.  (Cup and vinyl will be provided).

Oct 2nd - Weeding and layering vinyl

Oct 16th -  Infusible Ink

Nov 6th -  Iron-on

Nov 20th -  Ornament

These classes will be between 2 to 3 hours.  Giving you as much time as you need to get your project done.

Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Training

A Personal Support Specialist (PSS) provides personal care, feeding and daily living assistance to those in physical need.  You will need to maintain client confidentiality as well as report complaints from the client. 

Becoming a PSS is the perfect first step to begin your healthcare career. You will learn proper techniques to be successful in all areas of care. 

Deadline for registrations is September 18th.

 

Ceramics: Squatty Pumpkin

Pumpkin is 4 in wide.

We will be spraying the project with a clear acrylic coating.
