SAD1 Adult & Community Education and Northern Light AR Gould Hospital have teamed up to offer this amazing "Earn While You Learn" program.
Clinical Medical Assistants work alongside providers, mainly in outpatient facilities, such as medical offices and clinics. They form both administrative and clinical duties, such as welcoming patients, updating patient medical records, taking medical histories, taking blood pressures and temperatures, preparing patients for exams, assisting the provider during exams, collecting lab specimens and much more. Clinical MAs are an essential part of a patient care team, helping patients feel at ease and serving as a vital link between patients and providers.
Northern Light AR Gould Hospital in Presque Isle will hire students and pay them a wage while they complete a full-time, approx 14 weeks of training program. The program will include classroom learning, labs, and clinical rotations. Curriculum is provided by the Academy of Medical Professionals and students will be able to sit for a certification exam to become a Certified Clinical MA. Those who successfully complete the course will be guaranteed a job within one of Northern Light AR Gould's medical group offices.
Northern Light AR Gould Hospital benefits include:
