In this introductory course, you will learn how to put your cooking and party planning skills to work. Learn the fundamentals of the catering business, how to cook for large crowds, organize your kitchen, manage your time, and work with clients. The course focuses on cooking skills every caterer needs, with an introduction to the business side of catering. You'll also receive many unique and tested recipes that you can use to jump-start your business. Build your catering skills and begin a new and exciting career today.

Pasta Classes

Want to make your own pasta?  Then we have the classes for you!  Join us as Jennifer teaches you how to make your own pasta!  Each week you will learn something new.  The final week will be a tasty dessert.  

You can choose to do all of the classes or pick and choose what classes you would like to do.  Each class is $25.  

Jennifer has loved cooking since childhood.  She is 1/2 Italian and grew up in the kitchen.  She loves cooking from scratch and trying new foods. She is a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.  She resides in Mapleton with her Husband and has 3 grown children.  

Week 1-- Hand made Egg Pasta with olive oil and garlic

Week 2-- Hand made Potato Gnocchi and Ricotta Gnocchi with Sage Butter

Week 3-- Hand made Ravioli with Garlic Tomato Cream Sauce 

Week 4 -- Hand made Colored Pastas 

Week 5-- Bonus Recipe-- Tiramisu

Sourdough for Beginner's

If you have wanted to start making sourdough but didn't know where to start, or if you almost started but got overwhelmed with the process, come join me for a Sourdough Beginners class!

This two part class will allow you to bake a sourdough boule from start to finish as well as learning how to feed and maintain your starter.  You will be leaving with an established starter and your sourdough boule, along with a packet with the boule recipe we will be using, discard recipes, and helpful tips and tricks.

*We will be learning how to bake the loaf open-bake, but we will discuss baking in a dutch oven during class as this is the ideal method* 

Friday Night, 5:30pm- 8pm:-

Saturday Morning, 8 - 11am:

-Stretch and Folds

-Form Dough

-Score Dough

**We can only take 8 people at a time.  If this class fills up we will create a waiting list.  Anyone one the waiting list will get into the next class.**

Certified ServSafe Instructors and Registered ServSafe Proctors must meet minimum experience and educational requirements. You can be confident that practical, real-world experience guides your training.

The fee covers materials, instructor, exam and certificate presentation.

If you have already completed the course/training and are only in need of the proctored exam, please register for our exam only session.

Food and nutrition have a profound impact on our health and well-being, yet many of us are not aware of what foods to eat, which diets are healthy, and where our food originates. We eat toxic, irradiated, or genetically altered foods and we eat more than we need. How can we change our eating habits and become more conscious of what we eat, why we eat it, how it is prepared, and what consequences our food choices have on our health as well as the health of our planet? This certificate provides an overview of the role of food and nutrition choices on our bodies, our immune systems, our overall well-being, and the health of all sentient beings on an increasingly populated planet.
