The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student's defensive driving awareness. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways. Our goal is to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce vehicle-related crashes.

A student who completes the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record and may be eligible for insurance discount.

Learn to play the ukulele! It has never been more popular and you don't even have to know how to read music! On the uke you can knock out folk music, rock, blues, jazz, pop, country, tunes old and new -- even classical music. Duncan Perry, who has taught more than 700 students of all ages, will introduce you to essential chords and playing techniques using commonly known songs. Oh, and there are lots of laughs along the way. And, learning to play an instrument is good for your brain! You will need a playable ukulele and an electronic tuneror a tuner app. And when folks hear you play this happy instrument, well, they just have tosmile! B.A.S.I.C is an acronym for Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages, Alcohol, Seller/Server, Informational, Course. 

The course is taught by an experienced, state licensed Liquor Inspector. The mission of B.A.S.I.C is to promote responsible sales, encourage responsible consumption, and prohibit the sales of alcohol to minors. We encourage parents to talk to children about the dangers of the use of alcohol and we provide tools to our licensed agency liquor store partners to prevent the sales of alcohol to minors. This course will help you become a responsible seller/server with the skills to be successful and comfortable dealing with challenges and prepare you to thrive while protecting the most vulnerable in our communities. There is a pre-test and a post-test, and successful completion will award you a three year B.A.S.I.C certification.
